Born in Nashville, Tennessee, I attended St. Henry School and Hume-Fogg. I started college at Middle Tennessee State University, but finished at California State University Sacramento with a degree in Childhood Development. During my time at MTSU, I married a man in the Air Force, and our first station was in California. Soon after my graduation, we moved again, this time to Shreveport, Louisiana, where I obtained a Master’s in Education. I taught for two years at a Catholic school in Shreveport, and it was a wonderful experience. However, my husband separated from the military and we moved back home to Nashville. In May 2016, our first baby, Bill, was born. This is my third year teaching in the computer lab, and I am so excited to work with all the students this year!
My goal is to help students became safe and savvy users of technology. When possible, I want to use our time in the computer lab to build on what students are learning in their classrooms. The goal of this class is to help students practice important skills for the future such as typing, presentations, or Internet research.
