Welcome to the world of science at CKS!
Rocket Engine

Eighth grade students observe the "solid rocket fuel" burn.  Breaking down hydrogen peroxide and using the oxygen as the oxidzer to burn the solid fuel (ziti pasta).

Our objective for CKS students in their study of science is to produce students who by the time they graduate are stong in the following areas; problem solving skills, understanding of the metric system, possess strong analytical and observational skills, are able to read and interpret graphs and data and are strong readers of science text. However, and most importantly we want our "young scientist" to be individuals of strong character and respectful of everyone.
