Thank you for visiting my CKS page! I love working at this wonderful school! CKS recognizes and values the learning power of each individual student.

A little bit about me.... I was born here in Nashville. I attended Overbrook School from pre-K through eighth. After that, I went on to St.Cecilia Academy, then Vanderbilt for my B.A. After my children were through elementary school and high school, I attended Belmont for my M.Ed. with focus work in learning theory. I conducted a study observing the math problem solving strategies of young children, six to seven years old, and published the results. During the time of my early teaching experiences, I became fascinated with the dyslexic learner. As a result, I completed coursework to become a dyslexia practitioner-therapist certified by Wilson Language and the International Dyslexia Association.

It is thrilling to teach to the individual strengths of my powerful learners!
