CLASSROOM NEWS

JA Biztown: Our trip to Biztown is fast approaching.  I am in need of drivers for this event. On the permission form that is being sent home today, if you can drop off and/or pick up students that day, please check yes and how many students you can take.  We will leave school right around 8:30 and pick up time at the JA site is 2:00. Volunteers who are doing the on-site training will be able to drive if you choose, as you will be expected to be at Biztown at 8:45 that morning.

NOTE:  There are two permission forms to be signed by parents.  One is for the school, and the other is legally required by JA to be signed and given to the staff on the day of our visit.  I’ve stapled these two forms together.

Interim: Today marks the end of the first half of the 4th Quarter.  Grades will be closed next Tuesday. All grades in Option C will be up to date and accurate at that time.  There are still some assignments to add into OpC, as well as some late and absent work before I close the grades.

April Reading:  Students have been assigned classic literature as the book of the month.   They’ve been assigned to make a movie poster and take an AR test for literature grades.  The poster and AR test will be due on May 1st. Directions and a poster example are in today’s folder.
