About the Teacher

Meghan Nicholson (Clarke) Teaching Philosophy

I believe teaching is truly a vocation. I began my career in business, but God had bigger plans for me. Upon receiving my graduate degree in education (K-6), I worked in MNPS schools. I began teaching at Christ the King School in 2015. It has been one of the biggest blessings in my life. I enjoy coming to work and serving the students. I work hard to try to encourage learning and fun during the process. I believe learning is a lifelong skill and want to teach my students that it is OK to take risks, make mistakes, but learn from them and always try your best. I value honesty and give opportunities to right wrongs and fix mistakes for some credit back.

I believe effort and hard work is important because it is a valuable aid in helping students make the most of their experience in school. I give homework to reinforce concepts taught in class and also to help provide opportunities for students to realize when concepts are not understood. Time to work on assigned homework is given in hopes that students utilize their time wisely, a skill that is needed to be successful. When I am not teaching, I enjoy attending sporting events, running, playing with our dog, and traveling with my husband, Morgan. Go Titans! Go Vols! Go Preds!
