I am entering my thirty-ninth year in education, having spent thirty-two years as a classroom teacher and coach at Nashville area schools such as Christ The King School, (yes, this is my second stop at CKS) St. Bernard Academy High School, University School of Nashville, St. Bernard Junior High, Overbrook School and Pope John Paul II High School. I have also served as Principal of St. Edward School for four years and Director of Admissions at Father Ryan High School for one year.

In addition to receiving my Bachelors Degree from Murray State University, I also have a Masters Degree in Administration and Supervision from Tennessee State University. I enjoy spending time during the summer at professional development institutes and have been fortunate to study at The University of Michigan, Harvard, MIT (Massachusetts Institute of Technology), The Air Force Academy, University of Hawaii at Hilo, University of Washington, Stanford University, The National Weather Service Training Center and the Teacher in the Field Program where I participated in climate change research at the Arctic Circle.  I have also worked with the National Institute of Health in creating and field-testing curriculum for Middle School Students on Mental Health.

I enjoy photography, seafood, traveling , and NCAA basketball. Each March you will find me at some location in the country attending NCAA “March Madness” basketball tournament games.
